Associates’ children were invited to visit as part of the plant’s MINIme tours which took place during the half-term week.

More than 90 youngsters aged between six and 13 got to have a look around the body-in-white, the paintshop and final assembly.

Ten-year-old Holly Wickens said: “I found it really fun because you get to see all the machines working.”

Her dad, Wayne, who works in the paintshop, said: “It’s fantastic – she’s really interested in what I do now that she’s had the chance to go around the plant.”

Associates were able to accompany their children on the tours. Apart from seeing the production facilities, the youngsters also took part in a factory quiz and MINI colouring challenge.

The MINIme tours took place during the half term week from 31 May to 3 June.
