Photographic competition seeks to promote UK manufacturing
11 Oct 2010
Manufacturing Insight, in partnership with the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF), has launched a national photographic competition, seeking some of the best images of modern manufacturing.
The ‘EEF Photography Competition 2010 – Capturing the spirit of modern UK manufacturing’ is seeking images that portray everything from the talented technicians in the lab, to the skilled craftsmen and women on the shopfloor and from the largest state-of-the-art facilities to the smallest, smartest start-ups.
Manufacturing Insight is a passionate supporter of the UK’s dynamic and highly-skilled manufacturing industry. Its aim is to engage the industry by encouraging people of all abilities to enter their perceptions of manufacturing in the UK, whether they are taken by employees as amateur photographers, or professional photographers. The competition is also open to the next generation of apprentices, engineers and manufacturers, who can enter their images in a dedicated young persons’ category.
The very best images will win awards to be presented at the final of the prestigious EEF Future Manufacturing Awards and Gala Dinner on 27 January 2011 at Merchant Taylors in London. We will be using them in our media and PR work, and to support next year’s Manufacturing Week.
The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers and free to enter via its website at www.eef.org.uk/photo.
