The Automotive Council today launched its Future Technology Group, supported by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC) and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). The Group draws representatives from across the automotive manufacturing sector and seeks to build consensus on the challenges and opportunities from emerging technologies covering everything from zero emission vehicles to the latest connected and automated applications. The ultimate ambition is to make sure the UK is the best place in the world to research, design and manufacture the next generation of vehicles, with all the economic benefits this brings.
